Met crowned Champions after Llandudno win

Victory seals fifth WPWL title for the Archers

Cardiff Met have been crowned Orchard Welsh Premier Women's League Champions for 2017/18.

Needing a victory away at Llandudno this afternoon to wrap up a fifth title, they duly secured it through Naomi Clipson's strike in the fourth minute.

Llandudno pushed the visitors all the way though, and had the ball in the net twice only for both goals to be disallowed.

Met held on, and the celebrations began at full time as they celebrated regaining their title from rivals Swansea City.

It's been a fine season for Kerry Harris' side: this was their fifteenth win in seventeen games, with only one defeat in their other two. It means they will once again be playing European football next season, representing Wales in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
