Aberystwyth Town 0-1 Cardiff City
Cardiff City are still chasing a top three finish in the Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League and it was only one goal that separated the two sides. Danielle Green scored the only goal in the game in the 40th minute for the Bluebirds to claim all three points.
Briton Ferry Llansawel 2-2 Abergaveny
Briton Ferry have recently signed a few new players, former Welsh International Laura May Walkley and her team mate while at Swansea City Emily Hancock and Carys Wilkinson from Port Talbot and it seems to be the experience the young Ferry side needed. The home side went into the break in the lead with goals from Walkley in the 35th minute and Lucy Powell in the 40th minute but with Abergvenny after a top three finish the visitors were always going to pile on the pressure in the second half. Captain Ceri Hudson halved the deficit shortly after the break and Lauren Boyd levelled for Abergavenny in the 68th minute.
Cardiff Met 2- 0 Cyncoed
Cyncoed are only one of two teams that have managed to take points of the League Champions this season with the other team being top of the table Swansea. When Met and Cyncoed last met Cyncoed won 4-1. The Archers would have been keen to keep the pressure on the top and two goals in the first half was enough to claim the three points. Chloe O’Connor scored in the 14th minute and defender Steph Turner doubled their lead in the 36th minute.
Rhyl 0-4 Swansea City
Rhyl and Swansea faced each other for the second time in two weeks with the League Leaders putting 4 past the North Wales side on both occasions. Stacey John opened the scoring for the Swans in the 28th minute but were unable to break down a resilient Rhyl defence again in the first half. Sophie Hancocks doubled the lead for Swansea in the 65th minute and John grabbed her brace three minutes later. Katy Hosford grabbed a fourth for the League leaders just before whistle to keep the visitors in their winning ways.
