WPWL Awards recognise best of 2017/18 season

The best of the 2017/18 season was recognised at the annual WPWL Awards evening on Saturday night.

Guests from across the division gathered at the Village St Davids Hotel in Ewloe to celebrate the season, and look ahead to 2018/19.

Cyncoed, Swansea City and Cardiff Met were all recognised for winning the WPWL League Cup, FAW Women's Cup and Orchard WPWL Title respectively.

Lynsey Davies was awarded with the League's Golden Boot for her 22 goals in a fine season leading the line for Abergavenny.

Swansea City's Ellie Lake capped off a great campaign by winning the WPWL Young Player of the Season, whilst Cardiff City's Shannon Evans won the overall Player of the Season award.

Finally the WPWL Club Woman of the Year, which recognises the contribution of long-serving players to the league, went to Swansea's Jodie Passmore.
